What were they thinking?
Anton & Scott at Leadville 100, where Scott Jurek paced Anton Krupicka the last 25 miles.

this is pretty hilarious! did they see sasquatch? also, why does SJ look more tired than AK? ha ha ha. Altho, I’ve paced before and it’s pretty exhausting waiting around, trying to stay hydrated, esp if you’re also doing some crewing. seriously, I’d rather run the race. the waiting is painful
Ran a race! Happy with my results, hotter than hell, and had a good time with friends. (at Cedar Ridge Preserve - Audubon Dallas)
Happy herbivore”s chickpeas tikki masala (recipe from Everyday Happy Herbivore), a veggie pulao, and roasted okra.
I was very pleased w/ the chickpeas’ flavor, altho I had to let it sit to get the flavors to meld together. the recipe doesn’t call for toasting the spices together first.
Here’s the recipe for the pulao: I omit oil/ghee now, altho I’ve used this recipe for years. its one of my favorites.
Some kind of crane on my walk this evening. (at Turtle Creek Trail) an egret, according to my faithful readers. I did look up a local birdwatching web page and it turns out there are a few egrets around our ‘hood. I saw them all the time when I lived in NJ, but didn’t know we had them here in Dallas. Not many, apparently.
Appetizers for lunch: Summer Rolls, Drumstick Melody, Pan Fried Dumplings. So yummy, lots of leftovers! (at Sykamore Vegan Cuisine & Juice Bar)
Bwaaa haaa haaa!
Huge lunch: Cherry, walnut, and farro salad, and broccoli. I also had a baked potato.
ha ha ha, so true!
HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR RACE BUT YOUR FAMILY/CREW MISJUDGED YOUR FINISH TIME AND AREN’T THERE
