

I haven’t been blogging much about running b/c, well, I’m on vacation and I’m not really adhering to any routine.
I ran early in the week with a local running group, and then the next day attempted to tackle a good run around here, but the down hills were killing my legs. I got almost 5 miles in and my left leg was hurting so much I had to walk. After I stopped to walk, I got cold, and my leg hurt too much to run fast, so I had to call for a ride home.
That is the FIRST time I’d ever bailed on a run to the point of calling for a ride. My leg HURT. But, it was just sore the next day, and yesterday when I ran, I only had pain on the biggest downhill on my shorter route, and I walked that part.
Tonight I may be running at the beach again, so that will be cool. There is only one ugly downhill there, and it’s short. I want to make a new playlist for running though, so I might spend some time doing that today.
When I get back home next week, I need to spend some serious time planning out my fall training and race schedule. I hate being all willy-nilly with my runs. I’ve only run about 8 miles this week, but maybe I can squeeze in some more by next Sunday.
